Re: sorry to give u this news

From: Richard Farah

All,

David died of a massive heart attack while walking to the kitchen at home on Friday evening...he was 71...

No prior history of issues, so it was a shock to us.... is wife Betty Anne and kids.. Anthony, Gregory, and Nicola + their kids are left to mourn his passing...

His companies Saf-tec, and Caribbean Lifts will continue to be run by Gregory.

His funeral is not official yet, but I think Wed.

Just a note:

He is the first of this Generation to die, being outlived by Albert (99 this year ) who is the father of Michael & Roger and also went to mount.

The original 5 Farah brothers settled in Trinidad from England.

Richard

So sorry to hear about David's death, Arthur.

I did not know him myself, but perhaps Richard Farah might be able to give us a little more info. (Who? What? When? Why? Where? How?)

May he rest in peace.

Nigel,

We had a David Farah at mount, and wondered if this was he.

Married to Betty-Ann Knaggs?

Leave it with you.

Keep up the excellent gusto that the "Old Mounties" are putting into the Mount.

As ever,

Hi Art

I'm doing pretty well thank God.

Thanks for the photo; I'll pass it on to Trevor.

I'm unsure re the players, but from Lt to Rt in front row I'd say:

John Mendes, Trevor, Alex Deveaut, Leary O'Connor, ?M. Boyack

In 2nd row Arthur Reid? on Lt, Shoul is fourth

In 3rd row : Brother Vincent on left

Take care, Tyrone

Tyrone,

How is life with you?

Just had a great talk with Trevor and promised to pass on the Old Mount Soccer Team for him to identify the players.

I guessed him to be 2nd from left in the fr Row.

Hope you don't mind as he has no e-mail.

Thanks a mill,

Art

Dear Lionel,

Thank you, once again, for this lovely photograph of what must surely be an early football team from the Abbey School.

To be sure, I do not recognize a single one of these young men, and I would be most interested to know precisely when this was taken, who these guys are, etc., etc.

Any light you can shed on this photograph would be most welcome.

I'm copying the picture too, to the Old Boys from the 1945-1955 era,

To see whether anyone can enlighten us as to who the footballers are.

Thanks again.

Nigel

Ladislao,

Trevor was our centre fwd in those days; don't know how he got left out of photo.

You are doing stalwart work with your bulletins, keep up the fantastic work.

I spoke with Trevor yesterday; he is battling the dreaded Cancer.

As ever,

Nigel,

Great to see this old photo of the team.

I was the Golie for mount in those treasured years, sure jogs the failing memory.

My guess would be:-

Bk Row - Br Vincent, ........, Me, ......

Mid Row - Arthur Reid, ......, Lawrence Mc Caulay, ......, David Oliviere(now Fr.)

Fr. Row - John Mendes (now Fr), Trevour Soodeen, ......., Leay O,Connor, Malcolm Boyack.

Thanks for passing it on. Art

Second row: Arthur Reed, (Fedo) 2nd Edward Garcia, 3rd Lawerance Macauly, 5th Fr David Oliveire.

Standing: Br Vincent, center Hinz Herman.

He can't tell you when the photo was taken though.

Hope it helps.

Yes, I did attend The Abbey School and would like to receive the circular you produce. I attended from 1962 to 1970.

I've been living in New Zealand for 35 years now but still have a sister in Trinidad and most of my wife's family is still there.

Thanks! Derek"

Thanks, Anton,

I was trying to contact Fr. Vincent Compton in relation to his Abbey School, Mt. St. Benedict alumnus status.

We've been developing a database of Old Boys for some time, and he fits in there with the rest of us.

He graduated in 1949, I think.

However, in light of his frail condition, I won't bother him at all.

If you ever see him, you might mention to him that the Abbey School Old Boys were asking about him.

Thank you so much.

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Vincent Compton is simply resident at Assumption now.

Has become quite frail, of body at least, but his mind is still good

TGod.

I doubt he has an email address.

Fr Garfield Rochard is the PP and 'in charge of' the ailing priest.

Tel no there is: (868) 622 5728

Can you please send me the email address for Fr. Vincent Compton?

I believe he might be the PP at Assumption Parish, Maraval.

Thanks.
