Dear Friends,
Sad news, Wayne Vincent Brown has passed away to a better life.
The Circular shall make an issue with the material that has been collected in the years when WVB was a collaborator to the success of the Circular and other item that we are collecting. Thanks before hand to P.C. Pires for the splendid article he wrote.

Welcome to Ontario , Salvador
From: Nigel Boos

Got your msg, Salvador , and am looking forward to meeting you.
We've never met, but I feel as if I already know so much about you.
It'll be fun to get together at last.
Looking forward to meeting your guests too.
I have a strong feeling that I know exactly who they are, but I won't spoil the fun by guessing.
Hope you're enjoying the wonderful weather of Ontario and the huge metropolis of Milton
(Ajax is no bigger).
See you 2nite.

Folks,
Our planned Roti Night at Rotilcious in Ajax is a mere 8 days away, and I am still waiting to hear from you as to whether or not you'll be coming, and whether or not you'll be bring your spouses.
I would encourage you to respond soon, so that we'll have some idea as to numbers and so that the restaurant will know if they have to employ one or two more people to help out that night.
Since it appears that a $15.00 price tag may be too much, I'm going to reduce it to $12.00and drop off the tea/coffee and ice-cream. (Apologies to the ladies).
Therefore, your $12.00 ticket will cover roti, a soft drink, doubles and a tip.

Anyone wishing to have tea / coffee and some ice-cream dessert can do so for an extra
charge ($2.00 per item).

Salah Wilson (MSB 1970) is hoping to attend, with his family steel-band, to provide a little
entertainment.
As you may know, his home burned down on May 4th in Montreal
Anyone wishing to help Salah can consider purchasing one of the steel-band text books he has written, and have it delivered to one of the 20,000 musically-illiterate young steelband payers in TT (Salah's request).

Please let me hear from you soon.
Regards,
Nigel

Hi Ladislao,
1.                  1. Just put this out there see if any one remembers in the early years of Mount we use to go down to a river without permission and would bath in a little pool called catchecam.
I think it eventually became popular and there were supervised visits for the boys, or was this another pool in the river near by??

2.                  2. Did any one ever take over our den in the mountain?
We called ourselves the bar bell boys and built a wooden hut with a swing rope.
[dave de castro-malcom boyack-lawrence mc cauley-colin phillips-peter dos santos donald boyd and delano de castro}.
We would go off and lime and lift weights, and swing to our hearts content twice a week.
What beautiful memories of Mount.
I feel sorry for anyone who does not share fond memories.

In photo 08UN0384ESMERALDAGRP s391.jpg, the gentleman second from right (in the shirt jac) looks like an administrative staff who assisted the bursar.
Francis Pereira his nickname is Khaki.
Khaki also assisted with the sports at the school.
You may remember Francis, he is the brother of Harry.

As far as I’m aware, Jaggie is not married.
Khaki is, and still lives on St. Johns Road .
Joseph Jagwansingh, AKA Jaggie, does not have an email address nor does Francis.

Dear Nigel:
Please note that I learnt last Sunday at Church from a visiting niece that former 'day boy' at MSB - ARCHIE DIDIER - from Arima died of a stroke in 2007.
He and I caught the bus from/to Arima to St. John's Road every day and we developed a close association.
Another RIP.

First class, Compton.
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
We've been hunting for you guys for a few years already, and it's great to hear from you. I honestly cannot tell you how we got your email address, but probably some off-the-cuff remark from someone or other directed us to you.
Welcome.
We have an Association of Abbey School Alumni, based in Trinidad, and the mastermind behind our effort is Ladislao Kertesz in Venezuela , who conceived the idea about 6-7 years ago to try to contact the old Boys of MSB and to establish a networking forum through which we could keep in touch with one another.

We have had a few reunions in Trinidad, and here in Canada, where I am based, we also have got together twice to enjoy a roti as a group. Fantastic!
Perhaps you could spend a little time to put together 2-3 paragraphs for us, to let us know what you've done with yourself since leaving the Mount.
And if you could also send us a recent photograph of yourself, it would be a nice way to let any old friends see what the years have done to you.

One thing I do need for you to clear up for me is this:
I've been told that you came to MSB from Pomeroon in Guyana. and that there were 3 De Jesus boys - Compton, Sylvester and Vinitus, who left MSB in '68, '69 and '79 respectively.
Can you please confirm any of this for us, and also, if by chance you happen to have any old MSB photographs still hiding in a cupboard somewhere, how'd you like to share them with the rest of us?

Question: Did your family originate in Madeira? (I have a private reason for asking, which I'll share with you when you answer).

Hello Nigel,
I read your e-mail and was quite surprised.
My name is Compton Vinantius De Jesus (Vinantius is the right spelling) and I did attend Mt St Benedict in the early 60's.
My uncle whose name is Compton Sylvester De Jesus attended the same school at the same time, unfortunately he died in 1972 is this any help to you.

Dear Cornel, Terrence
Good for writing about the meeting that took place with Egan, Cornel and Nigel
None of the others did as yet and I presume that they are not going to write either.
But I need to get the contents of the little box that you left at the reunion, photographed item by item.
Also scan the documents.
The general photos of the items make my mouth droll.
But the photos that you sent are not good for the general archive, because of the low resolution, preferably each medal should have been photographed individually.

Especially the scout badges, only Jan has sent a couple of photos but the rest of the KING or QUEEN Scouts just do not remember anything and have nothing to show.
Not even memories of the Jamboree Camps or others.
Finally I get to see Egan, after 49 years.
He sat next to me during the last year at the study hall at the back row left.
He is on the list since 2002 but is not inclined to write.
I am glad he is well and has a beautiful wife, please tell him.
I can only ask you to be an intermediate for this job, as you are closer than I.
Also remember that if you get an interesting email, please FW it to me if you believe that it can forward the cause.
This is the "material" I talked about.
